Dr. Andrew Olson was born and raised in Southwest Washington State. He served a two-year LDS mission in Peru, after which he followed his sisters to Utah Valley University. Dr. Olson is married to Lauren and has three wonderfully energetic boys. They enjoy traveling to new places and anything outdoors. He loves to cook and dabble in electronics and software. Dr. Olson’s favorite book is How to Win Friends and Influence People

Dr. Olson graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and went on to the University of Utah for a post-graduate General Practice Residency. Upon graduation, he purchased a private practice in Salt Lake City, joined the University of Utah School of Dentistry as a part-time Assistant Professor, and completed a Master’s in Business Administration at the University of Utah School of Business.

In 2018, Dr. Olson started teaching Practice Management at the University of Utah School of Dentistry. In 2021, he was selected to be the first director of the two-year Leadership and Practice Management residency. Dr. Olson loves teaching. He is passionate about the business of dentistry and sees a bright future for the industry.
